Leaders in payment processing for the NFP Sector

Rapidata and Valldata join forces

Monday 6th June 2016

Valldata is pleased to announce the acquisition of Rapidata Services Plc by the same team of private investors that backed our recent management buyout (MBO).

The move means that our two leading agencies have joined forces to provide the largest and most secure provision for payment processing and fulfilment services in the not-for-profit sector.

Both Rapidata and Valldata will maintain individual brands and service operations, while coming together in a new working partnership to align complementary services under the umbrella of newly formed holding company, VRD Group Ltd.

The agencies’ combined strengths and specialist services will create the sector’s most comprehensive end-to-end provision for donation and fulfilment services. The partnership will enable Valldata and Rapidata to streamline areas of commonality and build a stronger, more complete service structure to charity clients; with Valldata focusing on providing cash and card payment processing, campaign fulfilment and back office services, and Rapidata as a Bacs approved bureau specialising in Direct Debit collections, regular giving optimisation and online giving services.

The buyout underpins the likeminded commitment of both agencies to work in true partnership with the charity sector, based on trust, service quality excellence, strong corporate governance, leading best practice compliance, and investment and innovation for the future.

Greg Michael, Chief Executive, Valldata said: “Valldata is delighted to have partnered with Rapidata. The breadth of services that Valldata and Rapidata can offer together allows us to provide the most comprehensive and differentiated payment processing and campaign fulfilment service in the sector.”

Scott Gray, Managing Director at Rapidata states: “It’s an incredibly positive time to be developing the next generation of agency services in this sector; we are operating in a new and more stringent regulatory climate and charities need to minimise risk while increasing efficiency in a responsible and accountable way.

“I’m looking forward to working with Greg and Valldata in pooling our experience as we embark on a new journey. Valldata and Rapidata have both invested in and developed high-quality payment processing and fulfilment services for the charity sector. Partnering our businesses allows us to offer the sector’s most comprehensive range of complementary services for our charity clients.”
